My First Blog

Greetings,           My name is Angelina Kimoktoak. I am from a village in the Southwest of Alaska called Kwigillingok (Kuigilnguq, which translates to "the village of no river"). I am in my third year at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, currently doing General Studies.           I think art is a way to express emotions and feelings in ways that words cannot. I also think that art is used to show skill and creativity. Thinking about art, really makes me question how it came to be. I feel like art has a lot more to it than most people know. I occasionally practice doing art. Sometimes I like painting or drawing, but those things take a lot of patience for me. I also enjoy beading jewelry, but it is hard for me to take the time to do so.
